Bamford Community Society
The Bamford Community Society (BCS) was formed in 2013 to save and protect Bamford's last remaining public house, The Anglers Rest.
In doing so, they became Derbyshire's first ever community-owned pub and have gone on to inspire many other communities to save their community assets.
Part of the Community
The Anglers Rest supports village life by hosting local groups, clubs and organisations for regular meet-ups and events. Get in touch if you want to be added.
Beyond the Edge is based at The Anglers Rest, providing expert outdoor training for climbers, walkers and mountaineers with over twenty years’ experience.
First Sunday Folk is our welcoming monthly session at The Anglers Rest, open to musicians, singers, poets, dancers, and listeners of all styles and standards. First Sunday of the month 19:00 to 21:30.
